Bronze
Bronze is an alloy of copper and an assortment of metals- usually tin, but can also include aluminium, arsenic, phosphorous, manganese and silicon. The proportions and the types of metal used in the manufacture influences the required properties of bronze. Although bronze oxidises, it is merely superficial and once the surface is oxidised, it does not permeate into deeper layers, thereby having no impact on the strength and quality of bronze. Like all copper-based alloys, bronze too has a low melting point, which makes it easier to use and work with.
